  • ½ cup milk (or buttermilk for extra moisture)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup hot coffee or hot water (enhances chocolate flavor)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

Preheat to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and line an 8-inch round pan or square pan.


2. Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together:

  • Flour
  • Sugar
  • Cocoa powder
  • Baking powder
  • Baking soda
  • Salt

3. Add Wet Ingredients

Add:

  • Eggs
  • Oil
  • Milk
  • Vanilla

Mix until smooth and lump-free.


4. Add Hot Liquid

Slowly pour in hot coffee or hot water, mixing gently.
